"Update: Received absolutely no help from better business bureau due to State Farms repetitive responses. Received a Phone call from Dominick not to offer any help to fix the issue but to tell me to just cancel the policy if I find a better quote and more importantly to ask me to delete this review.
Original review:
Started auto policy for a 2007 Jeep Liberty a few months ago for $191 a month. Saw my bill increased to $428 this month. When I called to find out why, my local office representative admittedly explained it was due to a mistake they made when starting my policy where they thought I had purchased the vehicle 2 years before I really did. When I created my policy on the phone, me and my local agent had a clear conversation that I had literally just purchased the vehicle in the past week. There was no misunderstanding about this. Now they’re saying they made another mistake so instead of $428 it would be $330. Regardless, it makes zero sense that I should be paying an extra $140 a month just because of how long I’ve owned the vehicle which is a 20 year-old Jeep. $330 for that car with a clean driving record is outrageous. There is no way to get a hold of any corporate representative so I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and keep getting the run around without any actual help."

After reviewing the policy, we identified that information provided when the policy was initially written needed to be corrected, and I apologize for the confusion and frustration that resulted in. We also understand that receiving different premium amounts while trying to get an explanation only added to that frustration.
Because we don’t want to discuss the details of your policy publicly, we would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly, review the policy and premium with you, and make sure your concerns have been fully addressed. "I don't usually leave reviews but I have to for Desiree! I've been trying to close on my house for the last 3 months and it's been stressful, but she made the insurance part easy. She was so patient and attentive the whole time, always checking in to make sure everything was going okay and that we'd have coverage ready for closing.
What I appreciated most is she never pressured me into a payment I didn't want. She actually looked for every discount she could find for my home and auto and got me a way better deal than what I had, which is why I left my previous insurance. Super nice, super helpful, you can tell she actually cares. Highly recommend asking for her. Thank you Desiree!"
